HANDBUILDING WORKSHOP
Beginners welcome! When? Every Saturday: 10am-12pm Number of participants for each workshop: max. 6 Fee for a session of 2h: 50 € Bundle of 4 sessions for regular participants: 180 € *All materials including clay, tools and firings, as well as transparent and white glazes are provided. If you wish to use a different glaze, you are welcome to bring your store-bought glaze suitable for stoneware firing. Whether it is a cup, bowl, vase or a small sculpture, you will learn the basics of handbuilding and experiment with it. This workshop runs every Saturday (except from holidays or special occasions), in which the participants will learn and experiment on new techniques along the way, according to their needs and interests. Once your pieces are dry, I’ll fire them in the kiln, and you’ll return for a glazing session before the final stoneware firing. At the end, you’ll have functional, finished pieces that you shaped entirely yourself.
PRIVATE WHEELTHROWING CLASS
No experience needed! When? By appointment Fee for a session of 2h: 80 € *All materials including clay, tools and firings, as well as transparent and white glazes are provided. If you wish to use a different glaze, you are welcome to bring your store-bought glaze suitable for stoneware firing. In these one-on-one classes, you’ll learn the essentials of wheelthrowing and experiment on creating different forms with my guidance. The first session is dedicated to throwing, the second to trimming. Once your pieces are dry, I’ll fire them in the kiln, and you’ll return for a glazing session before the final stoneware firing. If you are already participating in the hand-building workshop, you can also glaze your wheelthrown pieces in that group session. At the end, you’ll take home your finished pieces, unique and made entirely by your own hands. OPEN WHEEL SPOT
If you have already taken wheelthrowing classes and you can work independently or with little help on the wheel, you can use the wheel during the hand building workshop on Saturday from 10am-12pm, paying the same fee for a handbuilding workshop. There is only 1 wheel, so 1 available spot each time!

Frequently asked questions
For any other questions you may have, don't hesitate to contact me!
When can I join a handbuilding workshop ?
As soon as there’s an available spot. There are no fixed start or end dates for the workshops. They are open to everyone and take place every Saturday.
Can I come only one time?
In theory, yes. But that would mean your pieces get only bisque fired and not glazed. I recommend at least two visits so you can complete your pieces.
How often do you fire the kiln?
This depends on the number of pots that need to be fired. There will be at least one bisque and one glaze firing a month.
Can I reserve my spot for each week?
If you buy a bundle of 4 sessions, this usually means you’ll attend once a week for 4 consecutive weeks, unless you let me know in advance that you’d like to skip a session. Cancellations are free of charge up to 24 hours before the workshop.
Will the workshops run during public or school holidays?
This is subject to change. I’ll let you know about any dates when the workshop won’t take place.
